The Matthew Project empower young people and adults to overcome drugs, alcohol and mental health issues so they can live their lives more fully. They have helped thousands of people from all walks of life, across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. Retain is proud to support them as our 2024 Charity of Choice.

Retain founder, Emily Aves recently visited the team at The Matthew Project in Norwich and learned first hand about the work they do. As part of this new partnership, Emily visited the Project Centre and took a tour around the 'Next steps' recovery house, which has won two prestigious awards. The building boasts a café, commercial kitchen, cosy mezzanine, communal space, PC suite, art room, air conditioned studio, woodwork studio, counselling rooms, utility area and offices. The varied spaces means they can provide multiple areas to work with people depending on their needs and stages of recovery as well as provide spaces for people to just relax, in a safe area, and have a coffee with friends.

The visit marked the start of a new relationship between Retain and The Matthew Project, and we are really excited to show you how we are supporting them going forward.
